Job Summary

Physical Therapist Inpatient. This position evaluates and treats patients through therapeutic interventions designed to rehabilitate physical function and developmental disorders. The role supports care across inpatient and outpatient settings, coordinates with interdisciplinary teams, and promotes patient independence and successful discharge planning.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy; New Mexico Physical Therapist license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; at least two years of current experience in physical therapy; inpatient and outpatient experience; at least one previous 13-week travel assignment; flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate in Physical Therapy; EPIC experience.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients across the lifespan, applying therapeutic interventions, supporting physical and developmental rehabilitation, coordinating with interdisciplinary care teams, advocating for patients, and contributing to discharge planning. Settings may include inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, community-based care, and home health care. Pediatric responsibilities may include treating patients from birth through 18 years of age and addressing motor development, strength, range of motion, endurance, balance, coordination, and gait. Adult patient care may be required when pediatric volume fluctuates.
