Description
Job Summary
Ultrasonographer General performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the direction of a radiologist and supervision of the radiology department. The position requires independent judgment in operating ultrasound equipment, following exam protocols, documenting procedures, and providing age-appropriate patient care. Mammography experience is required.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or certificate program; Abdom/OB or Echo Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; mammography experience.
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Performs ultrasound procedures ordered by physicians, adjusts and operates medical equipment, maintains equipment, follows established exam protocols, addresses the needs of patients across the lifespan, documents according to department guidelines, and provides service-focused patient care.
