Job Summary

Interventional Radiology Technologist Interventional Radiology. Supports complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional procedures through scrubbing, circulating, equipment operation, sterile technique, and procedural assistance. Provides high-quality care in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment while maintaining strong communication and infection prevention practices.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: 35 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or cardiovascular technologist; high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) credential and associate degree, or completion of an accredited radiographic program; New Jersey radiographic licensure; current Radiography (R) certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved American Heart Association (AHA)-credentialed program or an accredited program with demonstrated basic life support skills.
• Schedule: Rotating schedule with 8-hour shifts and a minimum of 40 hours per week; scheduled hours are generally 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. four days per week, with weekend and overnight on-call rotation.
• Responsibilities: Assist proceduralists during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional cases; scrub and circulate during procedures; operate floor- and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic equipment and power injection devices for iodinated contrast media; identify and retrieve complex procedural products; maintain sterile technique and infection prevention measures; prepare procedural trays; provide post-intervention groin management; document in the electronic medical record; transmit procedural images through the image management system; use closed-loop communication; and collaborate with nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons.
• Required Skills: Fluoroscopic modality equipment; complex diagnostic and interventional vascular cases; scrubbing; complex procedural products; neuro-interventional cases; power injection of iodinated contrast media; sterile technique; infection prevention measures; electronic medical record documentation; closed-loop communication; and high-quality patient care.
