Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS). The position provides respiratory care in an acute care setting, including nebulizer treatments, arterial blood gas testing, bilevel positive airway pressure (BiPAP), ventilator management, neonatal resuscitation equipment, and high-flow therapy. The role requires day shifts and support across applicable units and departments.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated; minimum of 3 years of respiratory therapy experience.
• Schedule: Day shifts consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week, for a minimum of 36 hours per week; every other weekend and every other holiday required.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include general respiratory therapy, nebulizer treatments, arterial blood gas testing, bilevel positive airway pressure (BiPAP), ventilator management, neonatal resuscitation equipment, and high-flow therapy. Equipment includes Servo Classic, Servo Lite, V60, Parapac, Vapotherm, and electrocardiogram (EKG) equipment. The role supports a 12-bed medical-surgical unit, with training provided on equipment and workflow. Any color of scrubs is permitted.
