Description

Job Summary

Radiation Therapist, Radiation Therapy. This position performs prescribed radiation therapy treatments, patient assessments, treatment planning, and related procedures in accordance with professional standards, established policies, and safety protocols. The role also supports patient education, equipment operation and quality control, accurate documentation, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Job Details

Required Qualifications: Associate degree in radiation oncology or a related field; national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; applicable state licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; strong knowledge of clinical techniques, applications, and radiation therapy equipment; effective communication and interpersonal skills; safety-conscious approach; minimum of 2 years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous radiation therapy experience, previous travel experience, and additional related education or experience.
Schedule: Day shifts, Monday through Friday, with scheduled days subject to variation; 10-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including a 30-minute lunch; minimum of 40 hours per week.
Additional Information: Responsibilities include administering prescribed radiation doses, operating treatment and simulation equipment, maintaining accurate documentation, performing equipment quality control, troubleshooting equipment concerns, applying radiation safety and ALARA principles, maintaining patient confidentiality, and supporting a safe care environment. The position may direct the activities of students and support staff. Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, stretching, patient assistance, and lifting up to 75 pounds. Start date: 11/30/2026.
