Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist, Pediatric Respiratory Therapy, Shawano, Wisconsin. This position provides respiratory care for pediatric and neonatal patients, including critical care, emergency respiratory services, airway management, and ventilator support. The assignment includes overnight shifts, weekend and holiday rotation, and potential float coverage to other facilities as needed.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour overnight shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week. Every third weekend and holiday rotation are required. The assignment is scheduled from 11/23/2026 through 02/20/2027.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Wisconsin Respiratory Therapist licensure
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Associate degree or respiratory therapy certificate
  • At least 3 years of experience
  • Pediatric and neonatal respiratory care experience
  • Electronic medical record experience using Epic within the past year
  • At least one completed travel assignment
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Responsibilities include critical care and emergency respiratory therapy, respiratory therapist evaluation and treatment, adult airway and ventilator management, and basic pediatric airway and ventilation support in the emergency department.
  • Neonatal experience should include caring for critically ill newborns until transfer to a neonatal intensive care unit team.
  • Missed shifts must be made up within two weeks.
  • No on-call or call-back requirement.
  • Clean and neat professional attire is required; no specific scrub color or style is designated.
  • The role requires resilience, adaptability, strong work ethic, and effective interpersonal skills.
