Job Summary

Physical Therapist, Outpatient Blue Hill, Maine. This outpatient role provides individualized physical therapy evaluations and treatments for primarily adults and school-aged children with post-orthopedic and post-spinal surgery needs, geriatrics, work injuries, and neurological imbalances. The position supports a rural community and includes manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, patient education, and adaptive equipment instruction.

Job Details

• Schedule: Monday through Thursday, four 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, for a minimum of 40 hours per week. The anticipated start date is 12/07/2026.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience
  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • Maine physical therapist license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience treating post-orthopedic and post-spinal surgery patients, geriatric patients, work injuries, and neurological imbalances
  • Knowledge of manual therapy and exercise science
  • Ability to educate patients on treatment plans and adaptive equipment, including walkers, canes, and crutches
• Additional Information:
  • Provides 60-minute evaluation and treatment appointments with single-patient care
  • Primarily serves adults and school-aged children without pediatric developmental diagnoses
  • No weekend rotation or on-call requirement
  • The practice is closed on major holidays and may operate on up to 50% of minor holidays
  • Orientation includes an initial session, followed by approximately one to one and a half weeks of partnered training with a gradual increase in patient load
  • Solid-color scrubs or business-casual attire is acceptable
