Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Registered, RT PEDS. Provides independent respiratory care, pulmonary testing, and cardiology diagnostic testing for patients across various healthcare settings. The role includes managing mechanical ventilators, assessing patient responses, collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams, and supporting safe, effective treatment plans.

Job Details

Required Qualifications: Associate or technical degree; proof of passing the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) examination as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); current license in the state of practice as required by state law; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; one year of clinical experience; knowledge of clinical techniques, applications, and respiratory care equipment; effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Additional related education and/or experience.
Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information: Provides respiratory care, pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing, mechanical ventilator management, patient assessments, therapy documentation, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. The position may support multiple care areas and may include supervising department staff. Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, stretching, patient transfers, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
