Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Registered, RT PEDS, provides respiratory care services during night shifts, including life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, medical gas therapy, and invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures. The role supports patients in intensive care and general practice units, maintains accurate clinical documentation, and may supervise and delegate tasks to respiratory therapy personnel, externs, and students.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Associate of Science degree from an accredited respiratory therapist program; current Respiratory Therapist license in the State of Michigan; registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; minimum of 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include providing life-support and medical gas therapy, performing invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures, monitoring patients, documenting patient care, communicating regarding patient care needs, and supervising or delegating tasks to assigned respiratory therapy personnel, externs, and students. The assignment is structured as a 13-week contract.
