Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Registered, RT PEDS. Provides comprehensive respiratory care and medically prescribed patient transport with minimal supervision. Evaluates patients, develops treatment plans, administers respiratory therapies, operates invasive and non-invasive ventilation equipment, and provides education related to treatments and discharge care.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Assignment Dates: 11/16/202602/15/2027.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include administering respiratory treatments, oxygenation, ventilation, aerosol and nebulizer therapies; performing suctioning, chest physiotherapy, tracheostomy care, arterial punctures, pulmonary function studies, oximetry, capnography, 12-lead EKGs, and basic arrhythmia recognition; operating and monitoring mechanical ventilation equipment; assisting with bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomy, chest tube placement, and airway procedures; reviewing chest X-rays; documenting treatments and patient responses; communicating patient status during shift-to-shift handoffs; and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation in accordance with Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) guidelines.
