Job Summary

Ultrasonographer General, ULTRA GEN. The role performs general ultrasound examinations, vascular studies, and parathyroid and thoracic biopsies in an acute-care setting. The position is scheduled for day shifts and requires Basic Life Support (BLS), Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification in obstetrics and gynecology, and at least one year of experience.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, Thursday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with 36 hours per week and call coverage.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Obstetrics and Gynecology (RDMS-OB/GYN) verification
  • At least one year of experience
  • Active license required for submission
• Preferred Qualifications: Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification or vascular ultrasound experience preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Performs approximately 816 scans or studies per day.
  • Conducts general ultrasound examinations, vascular examinations, and parathyroid and thoracic biopsies.
  • Call coverage is required.
  • Weekend coverage may be required.
  • Holiday coverage rotates.
  • Intravenous starts are not required.
  • The department includes three imaging rooms or scanners.
  • Orientation and department-specific training are provided.
