Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Registered, RT PEDS, Rhinelander. The respiratory therapist supports patient care across emergency and general care areas, providing respiratory assessments, critical care, ventilator management, and emergency response services for patients of all ages. The assignment is scheduled for 13 weeks with rotating 12-hour shifts.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating 12-hour variable shifts, 36 hours per week; every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Required Qualifications: Associate degree or certificate; Wisconsin license; minimum of 1 year of experience; American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; National Board for Respiratory Care CRT or RRT credential.
• Preferred Qualifications: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Provides basic respiratory care, critical care, ventilator management, patient assessment, and care for all age groups.
  • Supports emergency response activities, including rapid response and Code Blue events.
  • Equipment includes BiPAP V60, Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators, LTV1200 transport ventilators, heated high-flow oxygen systems, and auto-CPAP devices.
  • Strong documentation skills, resilience, adaptability, and collaborative communication are expected.
  • May be placed on call based on operational needs.
  • During flu season, individuals who decline influenza and COVID-19 vaccination are required to wear a mask at all times.
