Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory Therapist Registered. This 13-week assignment supports respiratory care across patient care areas, including emergency and general care settings. Responsibilities include critical care, ventilator management, patient assessment, emergency response, and care for patients of all age groups.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00 a.m.7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m.7:00 a.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or certificate
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience
  • American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential; Registered Respiratory Therapist credential must be obtained within one year of hire
  • Wisconsin license
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree
  • Travel experience
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Respiratory therapy services support emergency and general care areas.
  • Responsibilities include basic respiratory care, critical care, ventilator management, patient assessment using assess-and-treat protocols, arterial blood gas draws, and electrocardiograms.
  • Emergency response responsibilities include rapid response and code response support.
  • Equipment experience includes V60 BIPAP and AVEA.
  • Weekend rotation is variable, generally every other to every third weekend.
  • Holiday rotation is every other holiday.
  • On-call coverage may be required, with a minimum callback duration of 2 hours.
  • Closed-toe shoes and clean scrubs in any color are required.
