Job Summary

Radiation Therapist, RTT. The Radiation Therapist performs routine and specialized radiation treatments according to physician-developed treatment plans. The role requires independent judgment, precise treatment delivery, patient assessment, attentive monitoring, effective communication, and adherence to applicable privacy and safety regulations.

Job Details

Schedule: Day shift with 8-hour shifts and a minimum of 40 hours per week; shift start time may occur between 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM, requiring flexibility.
Required Qualifications:
- ARRT certification
- TBLS certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- State licensure
- At least 2 years of experience
- Travel experience
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Elekta, Mosaiq, and AlignRT.
Additional Information:
- Independently performs routine and specialized radiation treatments in accordance with physician-developed treatment plans.
- Executes safe, precise, and timely procedures while exercising sound clinical judgment.
- Performs patient assessment and monitoring and communicates effectively with patients, families, support persons, and healthcare providers.
- May perform specialized procedures and orient other staff to the department.
- Provides care for adult and geriatric patients.
- Typical patient ratio is 5:1 during day shifts.
- Relevant clinical experience includes external beam therapy, respiratory gating, radiation safety, stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), benign brain tumor treatments, prostate cancer treatments involving seeds or fiducials, and heterotopic bone treatments.
- Assignment dates are 12/14/2026 through 03/15/2027.
