Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist, RT PEDS, Brandon, FL. This position provides respiratory care in a Level 3 neonatal intensive care unit supporting high-risk deliveries and critically ill neonatal patients. Responsibilities include ventilator management, surfactant and nitric oxide administration, and blood gas acquisition and interpretation.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week. Every other weekend and rotating holidays are required.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist with Level 3 neonatal intensive care unit experience; candidates with 35 years of Level 2 neonatal intensive care unit experience may be considered. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
• Preferred Qualifications: STABLE certification.
• Additional Information:
  • Attend high-risk deliveries.
  • Manage conventional and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation.
  • Perform surfactant administration.
  • Acquire and interpret blood gases.
  • Administer nitric oxide.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, critical-thinking ability, independence, and attention to detail.
