Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Registered, Pediatric Respiratory Therapy, Pittsburgh. The role provides intensive respiratory care, patient transport, treatment evaluation, and patient education with minimal supervision. Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, ventilator experience using Hamilton C3 equipment, and the ability to work independently are required.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; ventilator experience using Hamilton C3 equipment; willingness and ability to work independently.
• Additional Information:
  • Provides invasive and non-invasive ventilation, oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, nebulizer treatments, suctioning, chest physiotherapy, oximetry, and capnography monitoring.
  • Performs respiratory assessments, pulmonary function studies, arterial punctures, tracheostomy care, endotracheal tube insertion and removal, and mechanical ventilation management.
  • Assists with bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomy, chest tube placement, and other respiratory care procedures.
  • Performs 12-lead electrocardiograms and basic arrhythmia recognition.
  • Conducts patient transport as medically prescribed and provides education regarding treatments, equipment, and discharge needs.
  • Documents treatments and patient responses, communicates patient status during shift-to-shift handoffs, and maintains accurate respiratory care records.
  • Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) guidelines.
  • Assignment dates: 11/23/2026 through 02/22/2027.
