Job Summary

Ultrasonographer, Echo, in an acute-care setting. The role performs transthoracic echocardiography studies for inpatient and outpatient populations, averaging approximately eight studies per day. The position follows a weekday schedule with weekend and holiday call rotation.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week; typically five shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with weekend and holiday call as scheduled.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of cardiac sonographer experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer - Adult Echocardiography (RDCS-AE) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within 12 months of hire.
• Additional Information:
  • Performs transthoracic echocardiography studies.
  • Expected study volume is approximately eight studies per day, including inpatient and outpatient examinations.
  • May be asked to initiate intravenous access when qualified to do so.
  • Uses echocardiography equipment and clinical imaging documentation systems.
  • Participates in weekend call from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as holiday call rotation.
  • Light blue scrubs are required.
