Job Summary

Ultrasonographer General in Denver, Colorado. This travel assignment supports ultrasound services in a relaxed, family-like environment with variable workload and opportunities to perform abdominal, pelvic, and lower-extremity duplex studies. The role requires independent practice, confident communication with registered nurses and physicians, and effective handoff to oncoming staff.

Job Details

• Schedule: Sunday through Tuesday, 6:00 PM6:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 6 months of current sonographer experience; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in sonography or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Neonatal head ultrasound experience.
• Additional Information:
  • Performs abdominal and pelvic ultrasound examinations.
  • Performs lower-extremity venous and arterial duplex studies.
  • Works independently and maintains confident communication with registered nurses and physicians.
  • Provides thorough handoff to oncoming staff.
  • Typical workload is approximately 815 scans per 12-hour shift.
  • Saturday call coverage is scheduled from 6:00 PM6:00 AM on a rotating basis approximately every six weeks.
