Job Summary

Ultrasonographer, General Bethel, Alaska. Performs ultrasound examinations for patients of all ages, from newborn through geriatric, while supporting efficient department operations and continuity of patient care. Provides patient-centered imaging services using specialized sonography training and may assist with clerical or other department duties as needed.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Current registration with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Abdomen or Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN), or equivalent
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited sonography program or equivalent
  • Multiple imaging specialties
  • Two years of post-graduation experience
  • Ability to perform detailed fetal survey ultrasound examinations
  • GE ultrasound experience
  • Trophon experience
• Additional Information:
  • Performs imaging examinations on patients across the lifespan.
  • Supports quality, continuity, and efficient delivery of patient care.
  • May perform receptionist, clerk, or other department duties as needed.
