Job Summary

Occupational Therapy Assistant, Pediatrics. This position provides occupational therapy support for pediatric outpatient services, with the ability to serve inpatient populations as needed. The role includes collaboration with interdisciplinary support services and care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

Job Details

• Schedule: Five 8-hour day shifts, scheduled from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, for a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Active or pending Illinois state license.
  • Travel experience required.
  • Experience with electronic charting systems required.
• Additional Information:
  • Provides outpatient pediatric occupational therapy services with the ability to support inpatient populations.
  • Patient population includes pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Expected daily census is approximately 8 visits.
  • Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, interpretation services, rapid response teams, and unit secretary support.
  • Block scheduling is available.
  • Two pre-approved time-off requests are permitted.
  • Orientation includes 8 hours.
  • Required influenza vaccination, with medical or religious exemptions accepted.
  • The first orientation day is completed virtually from home, with assigned modules due by 4:00 PM Central Standard Time.
