Job Summary

Interventional Radiology Technologist, Interventional Radiology, Irving, Texas. The technologist performs general interventional radiology procedures for ambulatory and hospital patients under the supervision of a radiologist. Responsibilities include preparing patients and procedure areas, maintaining imaging quality and safety standards, applying sterile techniques, and supporting accurate documentation.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM4:00 PM, with rotating call every three weeks.
• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA) only; ARRT (VI); Texas MRT; minimum of 1 year of experience.
• Additional Information:
  • Performs general interventional radiology procedures; neurointerventional procedures are not included.
  • Prepares patients and procedure areas, positions patients, and operates imaging equipment according to established protocols.
  • Applies sterile technique, infection-control procedures, drug and radiation-safety policies, and hand-hygiene standards.
  • Verifies patient documentation, histories, pregnancy status, consent forms, and shielding precautions.
  • Maintains imaging records and equipment in accordance with department standards.
  • Provides clear procedure instructions, promotes patient comfort, and supports safe, courteous service.
  • May provide training to new team members and take rotating call.
