Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory Therapist Registered. This position provides respiratory care for adult general-care and adult critical-care populations, including adult intensive care unit assignments as needed. The role includes rotating day and night shifts, interdisciplinary clinical responsibilities, and structured departmental orientation.

Job Details

Schedule: Rotating day and night shifts, 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week; every other weekend and two major holidays are required, with no on-call requirement.
Required Qualifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) accepted
- VA license required
- Two years of adult critical-care experience, including adult intensive-care-unit experience
Additional Information:
- Provides care to adult general-care and adult critical-care populations.
- General-care assignments may be provided within the adult population as needed.
- Department orientation lasts one week, followed by shadowing and training for general-care assignments before assuming an independent assignment.
- Workload is dependent on assigned clinical areas and patient-care needs.
- Floating expectations may include being among the first clinicians selected to float.
