Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Registered, RT PEDS. This acute-care position provides respiratory services to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients on night shifts. Responsibilities include respiratory assessments and treatments, ventilator management, airway support, and other clinical procedures in collaboration with in-house hospitalist and intensivist teams.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., consisting of 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, with holidays included in the core staff rotation.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Active respiratory therapy license
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel experience is preferred.
• Additional Information:
  • Provides care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients; neonatal intensive care unit assignments require applicable experience.
  • Performs electrocardiograms (EKGs), arterial blood gas testing (ABGs), breathing treatments, ventilator management, high-flow nasal cannula therapy, chest vest therapy, and Vapotherm therapy.
  • Proficiency with bronchoscopies is required.
  • Respiratory therapy coverage is available around the clock.
  • Orientation includes up to three shifts.
  • A charge respiratory therapist is available, with clinical leadership coverage around the clock.
  • Call coverage is not required.
