Job Summary

Mammographer, Mammography Rocky Mount, NC. The role performs mammographic imaging, supports accurate breast positioning, and provides compassionate patient care. Responsibilities include image review, appropriate follow-up coordination, and adherence to radiation safety, infection prevention, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and regulatory requirements.

Job Details

Schedule: Day shift, 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, 40 hours per week; no weekends, holidays, or call.
Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program; associate degree; current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration with up-to-date continuing education; advanced ARRT Mammography (M) certification; compliance with current Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements for practicing mammographers.
Preferred Qualifications: Two years of mammography and/or radiography experience preferred.
Additional Information:
- Strong mammographic positioning skills and knowledge of breast anatomy.
- Knowledge of Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System (BI-RADS) assessment categories and follow-up recommendations.
- Ability to review mammography reports and ensure appropriate follow-up imaging.
- Strong patient care and communication skills.
- Knowledge of radiation safety, infection prevention, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and regulatory requirements.
- Assignment dates: 11/30/2026 through 02/07/2027.
