Description
Job Summary
MRI Technologist, MRI, Grapevine, TX performs magnetic resonance imaging procedures for ambulatory and hospital patients under the general supervision of a radiologist. The role prepares patients, operates imaging equipment, maintains safety and infection-control standards, and ensures accurate documentation and quality imaging services.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 4 shifts of 10 hours each, 7:00 PM5:30 AM, Sunday through Wednesday; 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (ARRT) with magnetic resonance specialization or certification through the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT); minimum of 3 years of experience working with 1.5T and 3T magnets.
- Additional Information:
- Perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures according to established protocols.
- Prepare, position, and communicate with patients while assessing their ability to tolerate procedures.
- Maintain patient, employee, equipment, and work-area safety in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
- Verify requisitions, patient histories, pregnancy status, consent forms, and other required documentation.
- Maintain accurate imaging records for timely interpretation.
- Support equipment maintenance, supply inventory, infection-control practices, and cleanliness standards.
- Provide appropriate care across newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
- May provide training to new team members and participate in call coverage when required.
