Job Summary

Xray Technologist, Xray, Presque Isle, Maine This position provides diagnostic imaging support across outpatient, inpatient, emergency, intensive care, medical-surgical, and operating room settings. Responsibilities include general radiography, fluoroscopy, operating room C-arm procedures, orthopedic imaging, and portable studies while serving primarily adult and geriatric patients with some pediatric cases.

Job Details

Schedule: Rotating 8-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week; shifts may be scheduled during days or evenings based on departmental needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography (R)
- Maine state licensure
- Operating room and C-arm experience
- Fluoroscopy experience or strong overall imaging experience subject to approval
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with fluoroscopy
- Experience supporting orthopedic, trauma, intensive care, medical-surgical, emergency, and pediatric patient populations
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information:
- Weekend rotation is required and varies according to departmental needs.
- Holiday coverage is assigned on a rotating basis.
- No call is required.
- The role includes coverage of general radiography, fluoroscopy, operating room procedures, pain clinic procedures, orthopedic imaging, and portable inpatient studies.
- Orientation is approximately 11.5 weeks, based on experience and comfort level.
- Average daily volume is approximately 2530 scans.
- Departmental support includes a lead technologist, internal transport, and radiologist availability.
- Professional solid-color attire is required; provided attire may be available when needed.
