Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Registered, RT PEDS, Salem, Virginia. The role provides respiratory care across inpatient units during 12-hour night shifts. Responsibilities include basic floor therapies, nebulizer treatments, chest physiotherapy, nocturnal pulse oximetry, arterial blood gas collection, and BiPAP management.

Job Details

Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with rotating weekends.
Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; proficiency in basic floor therapies, nebulizer treatments, chest physiotherapy, nocturnal pulse oximetry, arterial blood gas collection, and BiPAP management.
Preferred Qualifications: Ventilator management, BiPAP management, and intensive care unit experience.
Additional Information:
- Respiratory care procedures include handheld nebulizer treatments, chest physiotherapy, BiPAP and ventilator management, and extubation.
- Clinical equipment includes blood gas analyzers, ventilators, and noninvasive ventilation systems.
- Royal blue scrubs are required.
