Job Summary

Interventional Radiology position responsible for supporting vascular and neurointerventional procedures in an acute care setting. The role monitors patients, maintains sterile technique, prepares procedure sites, assists with emergent procedures, and documents clinical care accurately. Specialized experience in neuroradiology and vascular interventional radiology is required.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, four 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., totaling 40 hours per week. Call coverage includes one to two shifts per week, every third or fourth weekend, and possible holiday call, with a 30-minute callback requirement.
• Required Qualifications:
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; above-average experience with cerebral procedures, coiling, kyphoplasty, spine procedures, stroke therapy, and carotid stenting.
• Additional Information:
  • Supports vascular and neurointerventional radiology procedures.
  • Monitors hemodynamic status, electrocardiograms, and blood pressure during procedures.
  • Maintains sterile technique and prepares patients and procedure sites.
  • Participates in emergent procedures, resuscitative measures, and laboratory call coverage.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and completes accurate procedural documentation.
  • Participates in inventory management, performance improvement activities, education, and in-service training.
  • Provides clinical instruction to radiography students regarding positioning, technique selection, equipment use, and accessory devices.
  • A radiation badge is required.
  • Scrubs are provided.
