Description
Job Summary
Registered Respiratory Therapist, RT PEDS. The Registered Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory therapy procedures, cardiopulmonary diagnostics, and patient assessments for pediatric patients with breathing disorders under the direction of a licensed physician. Responsibilities include managing respiratory care modalities, operating specialized equipment, maintaining patient records, and supervising respiratory therapy technicians.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active New York State license to practice as a Registered Respiratory Therapist; active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; experience with EPIC.
- Preferred Qualifications: Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Additional Information:
- Assesses, treats, and cares for patients with breathing disorders.
- Initiates and conducts therapeutic respiratory procedures.
- Assumes responsibility for respiratory care modalities and supervises respiratory therapy technicians.
- Selects, assembles, checks, and operates respiratory therapy equipment.
- Maintains accurate patient records and completes required competency assessments.
- Holiday-week coverage is required.
- Assignment dates are 12/07/2026 through 03/07/2027.
