Job Summary

Occupational Therapist, Home Health. This role provides occupational therapy services to geriatric patients in a home health setting, with an average daily caseload of 57 patients. The position requires timely documentation, clear communication, flexibility across the assigned territory, and participation in an on-call rotation.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent, relevant experience
  • Occupational therapy home health experience
  • OASIS experience required for clinicians completing Start of Care visits
  • Proficiency with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • License in hand required at submission
  • Active drivers license and personal transportation required
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with acute care, activities of daily living, cardiac rehabilitation, edema massage, electrical stimulation, feeding techniques, TENS, ultrasound, arthritis programs, hand injuries, hip fractures and total hip replacements, soft tissue injuries, knee injuries and total knee replacements, lower- and upper-extremity prosthetics, dynamic and functional splints, orthoplast, serial or inhibitory techniques, and static splints
• Additional Information:
  • Geriatric patient population
  • Average daily caseload of 57 patients
  • On-call rotation approximately every third to fourth weekend
  • Timely documentation and communication required
  • Flexibility across the assigned territory required
  • Scrubs required; any color permitted, but jeans are not permitted
  • Tablet provided for clinical documentation
  • Orientation begins on Monday
