Job Summary

Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Inpatient, Beachwood provides comprehensive physical therapy services for assigned patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The role evaluates patients, develops and modifies individualized treatment plans, coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team, and supports progress toward safe discharge and return to community activities. The position also provides education to patients, families, students, and coworkers while maintaining accurate clinical documentation and professional standards.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before the first shift
  • Valid, current state physical therapist license
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Inpatient rehabilitation experience
• Additional Information:
  • Complete comprehensive patient evaluations and develop treatment plans focused on functional goals and discharge readiness.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address barriers to discharge, coordinate equipment needs, provide patient and family training, and plan continuing services.
  • Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions according to patient care needs.
  • Complete clear, accurate, and timely medical record documentation, including daily notes, goals, functional assessments, discharge documentation, and related clinical records.
  • Provide appropriate supervision and support to students participating in clinical education.
  • Maintain professional licensure in good standing and complete required continuing education.
  • Follow applicable state practice requirements, regulatory standards, safety procedures, and professional codes of conduct.
