Location: Pensacola, FL
Unit: Cath Lab
General Information:
- Number of Beds: Cath lab with 4 rooms and holding area
- Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Unit Staffing: 2 CV Analysts, 10 RNs, 6 RT Scrubs
- Type of Equipment: GE Imaging
- Documentation System: Merge Hemodynamics, Meditech EMR
- Scheduling Requirements: 4-10 hour shifts, 6-8 shifts on call per month, with one weekend per month
- Floating Policy: Not required
- Patient Experience Requirements: As determined by facility
Position Overview
The Cath Lab Technician will be responsible for providing high-quality care in the cath lab setting. This role involves assisting in various catheterization procedures and ensuring effective patient management before, during, and after procedures.
Hiring Profile
Requested Skill Set:
- Must Have: Cath Lab experience, circulating skills
- Advanced Skills Preferred: Sedation experience, atherectomy, IVUS, thrombectomy
- Certifications: RCIS certification is a plus; scrubbing and monitoring experience is welcome but not required

Key procedures performed in this unit include:
- Left Heart Catheterization (LHC)
- Right Heart Catheterization (RHC)
- Coronary Interventions
- Permanent Pacemaker (PPM) Insertion
- Electrophysiology Studies (EP) with Ablation
- Watchman Procedure
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
- Patenter Foramen Ovale (PFO) Closure
Qualifications
- State licensure as required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred
