Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This position requires specialized training and experience in supporting cardiovascular cases.

Unit Information
- Unit: CVICU
- Classification: RN - CVICU
- Shift Details: 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A
- Weekend Requirements: Rotating
- Guaranteed Hours: 36
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring (Swan-Ganz catheters, arterial lines)
- Experience with ventilator management
- Strong critical thinking skills
Preferred Skills
- IABP and CRRT exposure
- Familiarity with Meditech charting and order entry
Procedures Performed on Unit
- Post CABG
- Post VAD
- Post catheterization with various cardiac support devices (IABP, Impella, ECMO)
Compliance and Dress Code
- Scrub Color: Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket
- Nail Policy: Clean and healthy
- Hair: Neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors
- Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible
- Piercings: Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
Attendance Policies
- All travelers are required to float according to unit guidelines
- Timely attendance is essential; clocking in after five minutes past scheduled time is considered tardy
- Badging in and out for shifts is required, along with taking a full 30-minute lunch
