Registered Respiratory Therapist

Position Overview

This position involves providing respiratory care to patients in a healthcare setting. The Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for assessing, implementing, and documenting therapeutic interventions in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.

Schedule

This is a travel position with work hours from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' respiratory conditions and recommend appropriate therapy and care plans.
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures, including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and mechanical ventilation management.
• Monitor and document patients' responses to respiratory therapies and report significant changes to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory care and the use of medical equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Location

Position will be based in Fort Walton Beach, FL.
