Radiologic Technologist

General Information

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist for our Cardiac Cath Lab. This unit is equipped with four rooms and currently has eight full-time staff members, with an optimal goal of twelve full-time personnel. The day shift is comprised of RNs and Technologists with a minimum of three staff members required per room in various combinations. The night shift operates with a team on call, ensuring patient care continuity.

Unit Overview

• Number of Beds: 4 rooms
• Current Staff: 8 full-time (optimal 12 full-time)
• Patient Ratios: 1 patient per team of 3-4 staff
• Equipment: GE X-ray equipment, Impella, IABP, Atherectomy, IVUS/OCT, FFR/RFR
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Maclab for case charting and Meditech for facility management

Typical Hiring Profile

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Required Skills:

• Experience in scrubbing cardiac catheterization cases and STEMI calls
• Certification in Radiologic Technology (RT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
• Ability to scrub and monitor cardiac catheterization cases

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in scrubbing interventional radiology (IR) and electrophysiology (EP) cases
• Familiarity with Maclab monitoring

• Cardiac Catheterizations
• Interventional Radiology (Permcath, fistula)
• Electrophysiology (device implants, ablation, Watchman)
• Peripheral Angiograms

Required Certifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Additional Information

The role may require floating to other cath labs within local partner hospitals, assisting with turnover and patient transport as needed.

Dress Code

Provided hospital scrubs will be the standard attire.

Years of Experience

A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required.
