Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency care and be ready to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 28
• Number of Staff: 15
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Type of Staff:
  • Day Shift: Charge Nurse, 10 RNs, 2-3 Techs, 1 Unit Secretary
  • Night Shift: Charge Nurse, 10 RNs, 2-3 Techs, 1 Unit Secretary
• Equipment: EMR - Meditech

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency department.
• Perform critical procedures such as IV starts, blood draws, resuscitation, and EKGs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing care plans as needed.

Qualifications

• Required Certifications:
  • TNCC
  • PALS
  • ACLS
  • BLS
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute ER experience is required; trauma experience is preferred.
• Best Fit: The candidate should be active and personable, able to interact well with patients and team members.

Working Conditions

• Work schedule includes 4 weekend shifts per month.
• No on-call duties required.

Dress Code

Scrubs must be royal blue in color.
