Unit Information

Telemetry/Med Surg with PCU

• Number of Beds: 32
• Staffing Levels: 7-12 staff members
• Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4-8 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1 sitter
• Night Shift: Same staffing configuration as day shift
• Patient Ratios: 4 or 5:1
• Type of Equipment: GE Telemetry System
• EMR System: Meditech

Job Overview

This position requires an experienced Registered Nurse to provide excellent patient care on a Telemetry/Med Surg unit. The RN will work collaboratively with the healthcare team, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • A minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital experience in Telemetry
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
• Preferred:
  • Experience caring for post-operative CABG patients
  • Familiarity with Meditech EMR system

Responsibilities

• Perform IV and foley catheter placements
• Conduct chest tube removals as needed
