Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiovascular Care Unit (CCU). This 28-bed unit focuses on providing exceptional care for acute cardiac patients, stroke patients, and other overflow cases. With a commitment to safety and quality, our team supports each other in delivering outstanding healthcare services.

Unit Profile

• Number of Beds: 28
• Patient Ratios: 4-5:1
• Equipment Used: EKG, bladder scanner, sit-to-stand lift, hoyer lift, hover mat, Alaris pumps, Pyxis
• Documentation System: Meditech - EBCD
• Staffing Support: Includes unit secretaries and techs
• Additional Procedures: Basic medication tele procedures

Qualifications

• Must have ACLS, BLS, Basic Dysrhythmia certification, NIH certification
• Cardiac experience is a plus
• Strong team-oriented attitude

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac and stroke patients
• Adhere to documentation compliance and safety processes
• Maintain patient safety and quality measures through diligent monitoring
• Participate in daily nurse leader rounds to enhance patient experience

Scheduling Requirements

• At least every third weekend
• Minimum of three shifts per week

Dress Code

Royal blue scrubs with optional grey, white, black, or royal blue undershirts are required.
