Description
Job Summary
The MedSurg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) will be part of a fast-paced admission unit catering to general medical patients and surgical patients awaiting procedures. This is a dynamic environment where patient loads are rapidly admitted and discharged, thus requiring RNs to adapt quickly and work independently.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to medical and surgical patients.
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including telemetry requirements.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Manage a patient ratio of 5:1 while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Document relevant patient information accurately and timely.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in MedSurg/Telemetry nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Comprehensive work history with no gaps greater than 60 days.
- Skills checklist, references, certification card, and Nursys license verification must be provided.

The position is located in a 10-bed unit dedicated to admissions, with a focus on both medical and surgical patients.
