Unit Highlights

Location: Weatherford, TX

Unit: Emergency Department

Number of Beds: 23

Patient Ratios: 4:1

Type of Equipment: Standard ED

Documentation System: Meditech

Unit Staffing Description: All RNs, with Techs at the lobby and Secretary available.

Floating Policy: As needed.

Shift Details

• Shift/Workdays: 7P - 7A
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Required Certifications:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS or ENPC
  • TNCC
  • NIHSS

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Meditech documentation system

Active Certifications

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses not accepted)

Procedures Performed on Unit

• Standard Emergency Department procedures
• Level IV trauma care
• Primary Stroke Center protocols
• Chest Pain Accreditation with PCI (STEMI 24/7)

Dress Code

• Scrub Color: Royal Blue for RNs
• Nail Policy: Clean and healthy; no artificial nails, gel, or next-gen nails
• Hair: Must be neat and clean; no extreme styles or colors; should be pulled back if shoulder length or longer
• Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible
• Piercings: Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
• Shoe Requirements: Constructed of non-absorbent material with slip-resistant soles
