Description
Position Description
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment. This role encompasses various critical responsibilities essential for delivering quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Unit Information
- Location: Houston, TX
- Number of Beds: 50
- Trauma Designation: Level II, Comprehensive Stroke Center (survey pending), Chest Pain Center
- Patient Ratios: 4:1
Staff Structure
- Day Shift: 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), 10 RNs, 1 LVN, 2 Paramedics, 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCT), 4 Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT)
- Night Shift: 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), 10 RNs, 1 LVN, 2 Paramedics, 2 PCT, 4 BHT
Typical Procedures
The following procedures are routinely performed in this unit:
- Trauma care
- Emergency department procedures
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Preferred Skills:
- Trauma experience
- Experience with Meditech EMR

Availability
Candidate must be available to work every other weekend.
Experience Requirement
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency department setting is required.
