Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join a dynamic team in a cardiac catheterization laboratory. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in radiology with specific experience in the Cath Lab setting. This position requires the ability to scrub and perform X-ray duties effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Unit Specifics
- Number of Labs: 5 total
- Staffing: 4 staff members per case
- Equipment: 4 Philips systems, 1 Siemens system
- Documentation System: Merge
- Scheduling: 12-hour shifts with call requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Cath Lab circulating experience
- Moderate sedation skills
- ACLS and BLS certification
- ARRT (R) certification
Advanced Skills Required
- Cardiac catheterization procedures including:
- Left Heart Catheterization (LHC)
- Right Heart Catheterization (RHC)
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
- Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge Repair (TEER)
- Electrophysiology (EP)
- Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)
- Impella placement
- Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) and Pacemaker (PPM) insertion
- Peripheral procedures
- Endovascular Aortic Aneurysm Repair (AAA)
Dress Code
Scrubs are required as the uniform for this position.
Additional Information
This role offers self-scheduling flexibility, with an expectation of on-call duties approximately 7-8 days per month. The department is equipped with advanced technology and fosters an environment of collaboration among experienced staff.
