Night Shift: 1800 - 0630 (36 hours per week)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse with strong labor experience, particularly in postpartum care and newborn stabilization skills. The ideal candidate will possess EPIC experience and a commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care during labor and delivery.
• Assist in the stabilization of newborns and perform postpartum care.
• Utilize EPIC for documentation and patient management.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Education and Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of 3-4 years of nursing experience with at least one year in labor and delivery.
• Experience in nursery care and postpartum settings is appreciated.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of California.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification within six months of employment; must be recertified every two years.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred; must obtain within six months of employment.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within six months of employment; recertification every two years.
• Conscious sedation certification required for Registered Nurses in specific units within six months of employment; recertification every two years.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This position involves frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, lifting, transferring patients (up to 50 pounds), and the ability to perform repetitive hand motions. Employees may encounter potential exposure to blood and body fluids.
