Description
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in a dynamic rehabilitation unit. This role involves providing exceptional patient care in a supportive environment and contributing to the overall treatment strategy for a diverse patient demographic.
Job Details
- Shift: 10-hour days, rotating every other weekend, with holiday commitments
- Shift Length: 10 hours
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty and at least 1 year of acute care hospital experience
Unit Information
- Unit: Rehabilitation (PT, OT, & Speech)
- Certifications Required: BLS Certification and COVID Vaccine
- Electronic Medical Records: Cerner
- Nurse Aides: Support available with PT aides present on a rotating basis
- Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend, potential for every other weekend
- Holidays: Participation in permanent staff rotation is required
- Uniform: Burgundy polo style shirt or button-down long sleeve and dark (solid) pants; no scrubs allowed
- Support Staff: Hospitalist and Intensivist available 24/7
- Emergency Services: RT and Pharmacy services available 24/7
Patient Population
The patient types include:
- Cardiac
- Stroke (facility is stroke certified)
- Orthopedic
- ICU
- Neuro
- MedSurg
- Pediatrics (low volume case load)
- Neonatal ICU (not required for travelers)
Orientation and Training
All new hires will participate in 8 hours of orientation specific to the unit focus.
