Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Emergency and Trauma care to join our team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing critical care during the initial assessment and treatment of trauma patients.

Unit Specifics

• Number of Beds: 2 trauma bays in the Emergency Department
• Patient Ratios: To be determined
• Type of Equipment: Level 1 rapid infuser, HOT LINE, EKG, GE care scape (ultrasound), Hamilton vent, CAT tourniquet, Alaris IV pump
• Documentation System: Meditech

Qualifications

• Current TNCC certification is required
• ENPC certification is preferred
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required

Skills and Responsibilities

• Ability to run mass transfusions through a Level 1 rapid infuser
• Assisting in the Operating Room as needed
• Strong background in IV insertion and management
• Performing emergency procedures including IV placement, spinal stabilization, splinting, assisting with chest tube procedures, traction, and central/arterial line placement
• Demonstrating rapid critical thinking skills in emergency situations

Scheduling and Work Environment

• Shift: Night shifts with weekends required
• Flexible scheduling options available
• Work within a collaborative team focused on Trauma care

Dress Code

Staff is required to wear red and black scrubs, specifically a red top and black bottom.
