Position Overview

The Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in the care and management of patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and related interventional procedures. This position involves collaborating with a skilled team to provide high-quality patient care in an energetic and advancing environment.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 2 Cath Labs, 1 Electrophysiology Lab, and 1 Interventional Radiology Neuro Lab
• Number of Staff: 7 for Cath/EP lab and 6 for IR Neuro lab
• Day Shift Staff: 4 Techs and 3 RNs for Cath/EP, 3 Techs and 3 RNs for IR Neuro
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Type of Equipment: Temporary Pacemaker, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella, Penumbra, Shockwave, IVUS, IFR, and GE Mac Lab Monitoring/Innova Imaging
• Electronic Medical Records: Mac Lab/Meditech

Responsibilities

• Circumventing and assisting in diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Monitoring patient vitals and providing direct patient care throughout the procedural process.
• Collaborating with healthcare team members to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Required Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in Electrophysiology
• Experience in Interventional Radiology
• Experience in Interventional Neuro

Additional Information

• Work Schedule: Rotating call after hours and weekends, approximately 50% of the month.
• Floating Areas: May require floating to the Emergency Department, Discharge Lounge, or other areas as needed.
