Position Description

The Cath Lab Technician is responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory. This role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes for patients undergoing cardiac procedures.

Schedule

This position includes weekdays with call requirements and involves three 12-hour shifts per week. The typical shift hours are from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with variations as needed.

The facility is a multi-campus health system located in Ocala, Florida, offering a range of medical services. The cardiac cath lab is equipped with advanced technology and supports efficient patient care.

• Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Number of Labs: 3
• Patient Ratios: 3:1
• Type of Equipment: GE lab, Impella, Balloon pump, Penumbra, IVUS
• Documentation System: Merge Hemo documentation

Qualifications

• Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the lab.
• Certifications:
  • RCIS
  • ACLS/BLS
• Advanced Skills: Electrophysiology experience preferred.

Procedures Performed

• Right and left heart catheterization (diagnostic and interventional)
• Peripheral diagnostic and intervention procedures
