General Information

This role involves working within a highly regarded rehabilitation therapy service that includes Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. The unit comprises both an Acute Care hospital and an Inpatient Rehabilitation unit.

Unit Overview

• Number of Beds: 640
• Staffing: 27 Full-Time Physical Therapists, 19 Full-Time Occupational Therapists, 9 Full-Time Speech Therapists
• Staff Type: Day Shift only – includes Director, Manager, Supervisors, and staff therapists
• Patient Ratios: Not Applicable
• Type of Equipment: Walking equipment, bikes, bars, treadmills
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Meditech
• Weekend Shift Requirement: Must work 2 weekends per month

Typical Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one Physical Therapy treatments to patients.
• For Speech Therapy, complete Modified Barium Swallow Studies in collaboration with radiology.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Physical Therapist: Minimum of 1 year experience in acute care and/or inpatient rehabilitation settings.
• Occupational Therapist: Minimum of 1 year experience in acute care and/or inpatient rehabilitation settings.
• Speech Therapist: Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience in an acute care hospital (Level 1 Trauma preferred) or LTAC. Proficiency in conducting modified barium swallow studies is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with experience solely in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF), outpatient settings, or pediatric/educational environments will not be considered.
