Location: Lewisville, TX

Unit Type: Surgical Telemetry

• Number of Beds: 19
• Staff Composition:
  • Day Shift: 1 Charge, 3-4 Nurses (RN/LVN mix), 1-2 PCTs
  • Night Shift: 1 Charge, 3-4 Nurses (RN/LVN mix), 1-2 PCTs
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Equipment Used: Baxter IV pumps, Welch Allyn VS machines
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech

Role Responsibilities

• Ambulation of patients
• Wound care as needed

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience

Preferred Skills:

• Charge nurse experience
• Preceptorship experience
