General Information

This position is located in Bowling Green, KY in a Telemetry unit.

• Number of Beds: 36
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 with cath recovery; maximum ratio of 6:1, may be stretched to 7:1 under certain circumstances.
• Staffing Description: Includes patient care technicians on both day and night shifts, and unit clerks on day shift.
• Equipment Used: Remote telemetry monitors and Alaris pumps.
• Documentation System: Meditech.
• Scheduling Requirements: Every other weekend required.
• Floating Policy: Agency floats first (may float to Orthopedic/Medical-Surgical units).
• Patient Experience Goal: Striving for a 75% patient satisfaction rate.

Certifications Required

• BLS
• ACLS
• NIH Stroke Certification

Hiring Profile

Requested Skill Set

• Must have telemetry experience.
• Advanced skills needed: Knowledge of chest tubes and training in dysrhythmias.
• Procedures performed on unit: Chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis.

Dress Code

Any scrubs are acceptable, except for camouflage patterns.
